Mumbai: Setting ‘water for all’ as  the “True North” for a larger goal of making Maharashtra drought-free, the water lab was formally launched on Monday by the Delivering Change Foundation powered by Sakal Media Group.

“India is witnessing a change…all the pillars of democracy has witnessed changes,” Sakal Media Group Managing Director AbhijitPawar said inaugurating the six-week long water lab at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Contemporary Studies located at the Kalina campus of University of Mumbai.

“We have to listen, we have to build a consensus, there has to be transparency and accountability. These are essential for a programme to succeed,” Pawar said.

For the unique programme, experts  from the government, corporate sector, NGOs and stake holders have come together and they would come out with solutions to tackle the problems of the sector.

The lab has collaborators like Water Conservation Department, Government of Maharashtra, in collaboration with PEMANDU, India Backbone Implementation Network, Planning Commission, Government of India and Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Contemporary Studies.
